Charity Art Sale to Benefit CarePartners

From Friday, October 12 through Sunday, October 14, CarePartners Foundation hosts a charity art sale to benefit CarePartners Health Services. The majority of the art is from an extensive and lifelong collection belonging to the late Mrs. Marcia Kelly who retired to Asheville in the 1980s.
An avid art collector, she accrued many unique pieces throughout the years. “We are pleased and honored to have the opportunity to be able to work with Mrs. Kelly’s Estates, and share her passion for Art with the community,” explains Brent Wyatt, director of retail operations at CarePartners Foundation. Mrs. Kelly was an also an Olympic high-diver in the 1940s and world traveler.
An online slideshow allows you to preview the 25 plus piece of art, which includes landscapes and portraits like the above piece entitled, “The Ricker;” however, a preview in the event space is held on Thursday, October 11 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. allows interested buyers to get a sneak peak of the art. Light refreshments for the preview are donated by Celine and Company, Chelseas Tea Room, Corner Kitchen, and Red Stag Grill.
Constance Richards, director of the Grand Bohemian Gallery, is coordinating the presentation and display. There will also be a Judaica Collection from the late Bryna Liebowitz.
CarePartners Health Services is a private, nonprofit healthcare organization in Asheville with roots dating to 1938. They offer a wide-range of services that fulfill the mission of “helping people live fully through life’s journey.” Services include a Rehabilitation hospital, hospice and palliative care services, adult day services, private personal care services, and orthotics and prosthetics services.
The art sale is located at 105 Fairview Road in Asheville. It runs from Friday, October 12 to Sunday, October 14. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday & Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
